O Come, Let Us Adore Him

Jesus left the comfort of equality with God to gestate for nine months and become God in human form (Matthew 1:23; John 1:29; Hebrews 2:17). Jesus, the second member of the godhead, was born by natural means by way of a miraculous conception. That holy one of God nursed on the breast of a woman, and ate food that we may turn our nose up at, wore sandals and no doubt had dirty feet. He enjoyed no “creature comforts” that we so often take for granted (Matthew 8:20). We often enjoy the safety of a place to go and get away. Jesus was hunted from the time His birth was announced (Matthew 2:13). Surely, we can adore Him for coming into this world!

On the Precipice

Have you watched the news lately? The narrative from all sources is bleak. Everyone on this journey of life is part of a diseased bird. The left and the right are so intoxicated with bias that it seems we are on the precipice of self-destruction.

“If You Are Christs”

Of all the fleeting interest of men that people have painstakingly sought, none are remotely significant to belonging to Jesus. The chief endeavor of man is to “Fear God and keep his commandments” (Ecclesiastes 12:14). The cardinal reason for our existence is to be “called by His name and bring Him glory” (Isaiah 43:7). No title on earth can rival the name one wears that belongs to the host of heaven. No position of politics or cooperate power can equal the place that being a “child” in Gods family affords.
