Our Worship Service & Bible School

Worship Service

We would love to have you join us in Sunday worship service and for Wednesday night Bible study. When you arrive on Sunday morning, you will notice that our worship service begins at 10 a.m. and is before Bible school class. We recently flipped from the traditional times that most people are accustomed at their home congregations. When you arrive for worship services, you will notice that we sing without musical instrument accompaniment (Col. 3:16, Eph. 5:19, & Heb.13:15). We do not find mention of instrumental music being used in the worship service examples in the New Testament. If you visit frequently, you will also notice that we partake of the Lord’s supper each first day of the week as the early Christians did in the New Testament (Acts 20:7 & I Cor. 11: 26-29). We will observe communion and offer prayers for the bread, cup, and offering (1 Cor. 16:1&2 & Luke 6:38) at the appropriate time during worship service.

Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and teaching. (II Tim. 4:2)

Sunday School

But Jesus said, “Let the children come to Me, and do no forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.” (Mat. 19:14)

We offer classes for all ages during the Bible class hour on Sunday and Wednesday. We also have a nursery available for your little ones if you need to take them out during worship. Sunday school starts at 11:15 a.m.

Wednesday Night Bible School

On Wednesday nights, our students finish up the remaining sections on the lessons started on Sunday morning. After everything is completed and reviewed, it is time for some games to reinforce the concepts we have learned.

Vacation Bible School

And he took a child and put him in the midst of them, and taking him in his arms, he said to them, “Whoever receives one such child in my name receives me, and whoever receives me, receives not me but him who sent me.” (Mark 9:36 & 37)

In June of each year, we schedule Vacation Bible School (VBS) for all ages. This is a ministry outreach in which we provide to educate children about God. This is a favorite yearly event for our members, their children, and families in our community.

Bible School Material

Our materials are designed for different ages and grade levels which correlate with the Bible students who attend classes at Eastside. Some material are purchased from trusted Bible book stores which serves the churches of Christ. We also have made our own materials, especially for classes during VBS. All materials are colorful, engaging, up-to-date, and Bible-based. These lessons offer craft experiences and encourage critical thinking skills that will help students build their faith as they grow and mature.
